Born in Ingolstadt, Marina is currently studying in Berlin at the UDK, after she started the studies of fine arts in Vienna, Austria.

Marina’s work revolves around painting and short films, finding inspiration in the in-between moments that cannot be caught with words. Although the subjects of her work speak a silent language, their voice is clearly recognizable. The elements of her paintings come from inward and  the artist relies on the unconscious inventory for the choice of the subjects. The practice of painting becomes a tool of self-observation, transferring unconscious processes into conscious ones. Often this process is directed to resolve questions initially posed by the artist herself.
