Sonic Buffet is an experimental ensemble: a long table hosting musicians whose participation is guided by an algorithm. The system is random. The collaboration is real.

At a time when Berlin’s independent cultural spaces are increasingly threatened by financial cuts, Sonic Buffet reflects the abundance of artistic voices and invites musicians from all backgrounds to gather at the same table.
The metaphor for the richness of Berlin’s diversity and cultural practices, replacing competition with cooperation, individualism with interdependence.
