“Free City” follows four individuals wandering through the streets of a city. Each stumbles upon a small sign reading “Free to take.” What begins as a familiar urban gesture, leaving unwanted objects on the sidewalk, gradually turns absurd: one discovers a free bicycle, another a van, another a meal at a restaurant, and one even an empty apartment ready to inhabit.

Through this chain of encounters, the film reflects on the accessibility of basic needs in a modern city, shelter, mobility, food, freedom, and how these essentials have become increasingly out of reach. By stretching the logic of generosity to its extreme, “Free City” becomes a quiet meditation on sharing, open access, and collective possibility. It asks: what if the world truly operated on the principles of openness, reciprocity, and abundance?
